The Friday Night Result

Walked in the East Village last Friday, late evening, Tompkins Square Park down to a Serbian restaurant to meet some friends. There were dogs tied up on the street, they seemed calm, a peaceful sin, I had to picture them. When I had my camera in hand, I did not want to put it down. It was a great feeling to be able to focus in on my surroundings. I randomly pictured a tenement building, then a graphic wall, some construction work. I was not pleased with my shots. Even if I like snapshots without a meaning behind, I got bored of my pictures.
I have a love for nature and trees.
It was a relief to point the camera up to the sky.
To get caught by the arms of the trees, before the light could capture the infinite universe.

The Messy Friday

The Friday.
Lack of sleep.
Spinning mind messes up the focus.
A mess of obsessions.
A mess of creativity.
A mess of a strong will.
Divided.

I saw myself sitting in the crotch of this fig tree, starving to death, just because I could not make up my mind which of the figs tree I would choose. I wanted each and every one of them, but choosing one meant, loosing all the rest, and, as I sat there, unable to decide, the figs began to wrinkle and go black, and one by one, they plopped to the ground at my feet”
